Well, shoot. What a year.
I kicked off 2024 with my head down, running full speed ahead. Every milestone felt like a lifeline—“this will work, this will work!”—and I kept thinking, “If I can just get here, or gain that, we’ll make it.”
By March, I looked up. With the help of good peers and partners, we had a solid group of clients—businesses needing help figuring out sustainability to meet new client demands.
Then, in July, a milestone that made me stop and celebrate: I hired a full-time rockstar, Aashita Shah. (HUGE thank you, Aashita. Your hard work and energy is golden.)
Now, standing here at the end of December, I’m proud of what we accomplished. ThisRock helped 17 organizations and impacted 1,000 people, showing them small (but powerful) ways to be better for the planet and people, both professionally and personally.
Gratitude. Hustle. Smarts. Humbleness. Persistence. Kindness. Northstar. These words sum up our journey in 2024.
Looking Ahead
In 2025, ThisRock is aiming higher. These are our goals:
- 30 organizations helped.
- 2,500+ people impacted.
Some will be small.
Some will be big.
Some will be a steady drumbeat.
Our purpose? It gets foggy some days when we’re in the thick of policy writing, or energy data collecting for clients. Plus – the noise out there is real. But we always come back to this:

👫 One people.
While some dream of retiring on Mars, we’re betting on this rock.
Space travel? Thrilling!
But a better rock isn’t coming along. We need to protect this one.
It’s noisy. It’s overwhelming. But every small, meaningful step matters. Climate change is like a slow landslide—we can see it coming. Once you know, for example see Nasa’s Climate Change data, An Inconvenient Truth or The IPCC’s 2024 report, you can’t unknow. That’s why ThisRock won’t back down. We’re here to help businesses stand strong, pull others up, and make sustainability a no-brainer.

ThisRock became an Approved EcoVadis Training Partner and Consultant this year! 🚀

- Worked with 17 clients across the USA and Canada.
- Launched monthly sustainability support options for clients.
- Shared knowledge with over 1,000 people.
- Made 30+ YouTube videos and had 21,292 views of them.
- Spoke at 4 industry events.
- Even had a spot on CHCH TV!
